Why Quick-Fix Human Design Advice Isn’t Serving Your Business & What To Do Instead

I’m all for any kind of Human Design exploration until it becomes overly prescriptive or bloated with promises.

And, during the past few years, as Human Design has gained popularity in the business space, I’ve quietly watched the fragmentation and oversimplification of the system.

I haven’t been one to comment on others’ approaches because we naturally bring our own perspectives to this modality. But I’ve seen the disillusionment, confusion, and setbacks it’s causing real people and real businesses, so it’s time to talk about it.

This article was written by a human, experiencing human things. Not AI. (Hi! 👋🏻) Because I believe that words are far more meaningful and powerful when there's open-hearted energy and lived experience behind them.

Does this Advice Sound Familiar?

Some of the claims that make my gut tighten…

  • “This one Gate will tell you who your ideal client is and how you need to market to them.”

  • “If you want social media success, you need to base your content on your Energy Type.”

  • “This arrow determines if you should use talking head or b-roll for your reels.”

  • “My proprietary Human Design formula will tell you exactly how to write a sales page that sells out your business.”

  • “These 4 Gates tell you the perfect product to sell.”

  • “Your undefined centers reveal your niche.”

Quick Fix Human Design Culture

I’ve noticed these Human Design hacks justified with income reports, positioning sales success as proof that the strategy works — when marketing and quick-fix promises can drive sales even when the strategy itself lacks sustainable results.

I get it. In today’s social media-minded culture, people are searching for quick fixes.

But Human Design is about clarity gained through personal awareness. Not quick fixes based on fragmented information.

And when these limited perspectives are tried and unsuccessful, it makes soulful entrepreneurs question the integrity of the system. But really, it’s about the integrity of the advice.

Your Ideal Client Isn’t Hidden in One Human Design Gate

Neither is your social media strategy, sales page copy, or content pillars.

Yes, every single part of the Human Design chart in its own right is a portal into deeper self-awareness and expansion.

But when you pull one aspect out of the larger ecosystem of the chart and label it as a solution, it lacks context.

Like reading one chapter of a book. You miss the whole storyline. Because your Human Design chart is a complex, holistic system. Within it there’s themes, nuance, contrast, and push/pull dynamics.

Also, if we zero in on the ideal client hiding in one gate myth, just like your Human Design, each potential client is operating within a greater energetic ecosystem — they can’t be simplified down to a single Gate or Line archetype in their charts.

And really, unlike what most coaches preach, I believe it’s less about knowing who your ideal client is and much more about knowing who you truly are, and attracting the right clients from this place of grounded, Self energy.

Don’t Let Them Box Your Business In

When you over-identify your business with one piece of Human Design advice, you box yourself into static rules like:

  • “I’m a Projector so I can’t reach out to that podcast host. I need to be invited.”

  • “My North Node gate tells me I should only write my sales copy for a line 1 client.”

  • “That reel won’t go viral because it doesn’t align with my 3/6 profile.”

It verges on superstition rather than intuition. Limitation rather than freedom.

And not only can it be mentally exhausting, it can also be detrimental to your business expansion because:

  • Decisions are made from this limited perspective not your intuition and inner authority.

  • You feel like you already have a definitive answer so experimentation and curiosity (the keys to creativity in your business) are shut down.

  • Your energy feels rigid and static rather than open and magnetic to your potential clients.

  • And you become jaded when you realize these tactics don’t create a sustainable business.

Like your Human Design chart, your business is dynamic — it needs continual reinterpretation and reevaluation, and it needs your perspective to evolve and grow. Not to be stuck in fragmented tactics.

Your Business Thrives In The Big Picture

If you’ve subscribed to fragmented Human Design advice, I hope this serves as a permission slip to unbox your business, take the pressure off, and focus on your intuition first and foremost.

Because you’re magnetic to the right clients when you’re grounded in who you truly are, beyond all of the quick-fix business advice and conditioning.

And Human Design can absolutely be a powerful tool to support your business, but it needs to be used in a more holistic way.

Here’s how I use it in my business.

The essence of Human Design isn’t about fitting into types, following rules, or waiting for permission.

It’s about remembering your natural rhythm, your true power, and the life that’s been waiting for you once you stop pushing against your own energy.

If this resonates, let’s shed light on your energetic ecosystem (and how to use it for your business) through the lens of Human Design, interwoven with the wisdom of the Gene Keys, somatics, and Western Astrology in a Business Clarity Session.

Pin with the image of a woman with her mobile phone in a car with the text overlay "Your ideal client isn't hidden in one Human design Gate. More and more entrepreneurs are realizing they need a holistic Human Design approach for their business."

If this resonated, here’s a pin for later.

Through Integrative Human Design, subconscious repatterning, and somatic parts work, Keri-Lee Larmand guides visionary women to expand into who they came here to be. Her work supports the quiet unraveling of conditioning so women can return to their natural rhythm, intuitive wisdom, and fullest expression.
